CALL TO ORDER Ms. Campbell called the special Civil Service Commission meeting to order at 8:03 AM. All members were present. 2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Motion: Mr. Obendorf moved to approve the minutes of August 4, 2026, as written; seconded by Mr. Spring. Yes Votes: Obendorf, Spring, Campbell No Votes: None. The motion carried. 3. NEW BUSINESS A. FIRE CAPTAIN PROMOTIONAL EXAMINATION – CERTIFY ELIGIBILITY LIST The Fire Captain Eligibility List was presented to the commission for approval. Four (4) fire lieutenants participated in the promotional examination. Assistant Chief Lang stated the written examination accounted for 30% of the grade, the assessment center accounted for 70% of the grade, and seniority points were given. Both testing agencies did a very fair and accurate assessment, and we were very happy with the process. We have four (4) high-quality candidates.
