Assistant Police Chief Pochron stated that calls for service this month have been the busiest in the last 10 years. There were 2,710 calls and 1,292 of those calls were officer-initiated. There were 185 tickets given, 1,616 warnings and 96 adult arrests. The Community Night Out will be on August 4" at County Line Orchard from 4:30-7PM. Assistant Chief Pochron stated that they had a very successful camp in June and had 22 campers. He stated that the Police Department will be swearing in 3 new officers and 6 new reserve officers. Fire Chief Enrique Lopez stated that in the month of June, the department responded to 494 incidents and 360 were EMS related calls, 32 motor vehicle accidents, 30 hazardous materials calls, 35 weather related incidents, 14 fire alarms, 8 outside fires, 1 structure fire, and 51 non-emergency calls. The Fire Prevention team has been very busy with inspections, lock boxes, smoke alarms, etc. The Department completed their state certified operator driver training program. Chief Lopez recognized his team for their outstanding work during the severe weather event while still providing services for non-weather- related emergencies. He also thanked Public Works and the Police Department for working so well with each other and helping each other out. Parks Director Julie Mandon stated that the pool has extended hours during the extreme heat, and it has been well attended. The Market will be happening on Thursday.
