In accordance with provisions of Texas Education Code, Section 8.003 (f), each Regional Education Service Center Board of Directors shall adopt an annual budget for the following year after conducting a public hearing on the center's performance during the preceding year on standards established by the commissioner under Section 8.101. A brief presentation will be made by Center staff and public comments will be heard by the Board.
2. Public Comment
Description:
The Chairman or designee will call for public comments and state the name of each person who has signed up to address the Board. Time allotted for testimony may be limited to 3 minutes per speaker at the discretion of the Board.

Description:
The ESC-20 School Finance Program supports school districts and charter schools by providing training, resources, and technical assistance to strengthen financial management and compliance. Designed for chief financial officers, business managers, directors, administrative assistants, and business office staff, the program helps participants develop practical knowledge of budgeting, financial operations, funding, reporting, and accountability.
Key offerings include the School Finance Academy (SFA), which provides foundational, hands-on training for professionals who are new to school finance or seeking to strengthen their knowledge of school financial operations. Currently, 13 school systems participate in the SFA.
The program also coordinates the Business Manager Cooperative (BMC), which provides members with professional development, technical assistance, legislative and school finance updates, and resources related to federal programs and food and nutrition services. …

Description:
ESC-20’s Learning Alive Cooperative has evolved over the years to keep up with the needs of our School Systems. What started as Living Science has expanded into a cross-curricular experience that supports all content areas by giving teachers/students access to both living and non-living resources that align to the TEKS.
Our Operation Manager, Charlotte Tondre guides the program to bring classrooms to life in ways students don’t forget.
