Canvass of August 4, 2026, August Republican Party Primary Election
August 5, 2026
The meeting was called to order at 10:00 am, August 5, 2026. Electoral Board members present for the
purposes of this meeting and canvass were Marc Nelson, Acting Chair, Lee Bowen, Secretary, Meshell
Willingham, Temporary Appointed Member. Matthew Reisinger, Director of Elections and General Registrar,
was also in attendance.
The Board presented Matthew Reisinger, General Registrar, with the provisional ballots that needed to be
researched and requested the General Registrar provide information on whether they were qualified. The
provisional portion of the meeting was adjourned until Monday, August 10, 2026, at 10:00am to allow time for
ELECT to run the post-election provisional duplicate report. The board continued with the Canvass of the
election. The board having completed the Canvass of the Election Day results adjourned at 12:00pm until
Monday, August 10, 2026, at 10:00am.
The Board reconvened on Monday, August 10, 2026, at 10:00am. The motion was then made, and the board
entered a closed session to review qualifying information provided by the General Registrar for the provisional

act as a temporary member due to Ms. King’s absence for the purposes of this meeting through certification of

Financial Report: Ms. Clark provided the financial report detailing year-over-year costs through
June 30, 2026, and the remaining balance in the local portion of the budget. Ms. Clark reported
the new budget amounts with the approved additional funding from the Board of Supervisors.
Ms. Clark reported that $19,429 had been received in child support payments, no co-payments
had been received and $38635 had been received in refunds. Ms. Clark reported the Thomas

anticipated increase in road traffic since the area to be developed could only be
