Discussion of Fiscal Year 2027 Budget-Fin ance Director Bulliner stated that there have been a few changes since the last draft budget. Revenues for the 1% Sales tax and Home Rule Sales Tax have been increased, due to seeing a steady increase in these so far. A 3% increase in wages for emp loyees and also a $100.00 increase per meeting for elected officials was added. An incr ease in Capital Outlay is due to our plans for taking Technology, BS&A, and Laserfiche to the Cloud. Tax Rebate was taken out the budget. Increase in expenses for t he new Public Safety Building was added. New Department for Technology was added. Superintendent Johnson spoke on the street construction line item stating that this encompasses resurfacing of Main Street between Oakwood Ln. & Elmwood Ln. Gorman Trail south end of Winfield Rd. and Trisha Court. For New Motorized Equipment Johnson would like to reallocate $208,480.00 to purchase three additional pickup trucks to add to their fleet, instead of the new dump truck previously requested. Overview/Discussion of Retiree Health Care Plan-Human Resource Director, Knabe, gave an overview of how the Retiree Health Care Plan works to the Trustees, as they are eligible to take part in this plan with the monies they receive as elected officials. Discussion of Fiscal Year 2027 Budget-Finance Director, Bulliner, along with department heads, went through the draft budget, which is in the early stages. Eighty percent of the Police Departments budget is salaries, most of which are contractual. They are trying to cut down on overtime and the new building. Also, the line item for lateral hires was cut by $30,000.00, as the need is no longer there. In the Public Works Department, the two largest budgeted items are for the new PD building and Phase 2 of Firemen’s Park. They would also like to add a new lawn mower to their fleet. In the Human Resources Department, there is a rise in the background check line item due to volunteers and anyone dealing with children needs to have a background check. Public Hearing: 1. Special Use Application as Submitted by Enhanced Life Homes LLC. for the Property Located at 25830 S. Chestnut Rd. West moved, Brophy seconded, to open the above mentioned Public Hearing. Roll call vote. Ayes: Culp, Lehnerer, Lindstrom, Trevino, West, Bettenhausen, Brophy (7). Nays: None (0). Motion carried. Mr. Dramato, owner of the above mentioned property, was present. Mr. Dramato is seeking the issuance of a Special Use Permit to allow him to continue using this property as a residential dwelling, as it has been, in a commercial zoning district. The commission members had no issues with this request. Culp moved, West seconded to close the above mentioned Public Hearing. Roll call vote.
