County Board Meeting Tuesday, June 16, 2026 6:00 PM Jackson County Courthouse, Courtroom 4 Invocation Call to Order Chairman Calandro called the meeting to order at 6:00 P.M. Pledge of Allegiance Roll Call Members present: Knust, Phillips, Bost, Miller, Snyder, Peterson, Rendleman, Presley, Ikner, Lister, Erbes, Calandro. Members absent: Mueller, Battrell. Recognition of Visitors Citizen Comments Communications Agency Reports Peterson spoke on the following: Greater Egypt The Greater Egypt Executive Committee met on Tuesday, June 9th, 2026. The commission members approved the fiscal year 2027 budget and the cost of the local share will remain unchanged for 2027. The members discussed possible management and operational services for Redco because their administrator resigned. We also reviewed open grant opportunities and I encourage everyone to take a look at their staff report. These include DRA, CIF, ERA, EGA and USDA special assistance for rural communities. Many of these have to do with infrastructure, water systems, and sewer systems. Erbes spoke on the following: Reports on UCCI and NaCO are included in packet. Communication Recognition of Visitors Agency Reports Due to the Public Hearing being directly before this meeting, the Board did not require the agencies to give a second report at this meeting. Centerstone announced their upcoming LIfe 5K Annual Fundraiser on September 26 at 8am, more information is available on their website. I. 2026-514 Mental Health Crisis Committee Dr. Martin reported that the committee is continuing to meet regularly to review cases and invited all agencies to attend meetings when they are able. Agency Adoption Reports Willis requested the board consider reviewing and reorganizing the agency adoptions at a future meeting. Old Business New Business II. 2026-515 FY27 Levy Request The board discussed the funding applications and the amount they want to request the County Board levy for FY27. They decided to request enough to fund every agency at their full requested amount.
