Event Updates
Plant Swap went well last Sunday (10/4), in spite of the rain. The next plant swap will be in the
spring.
Fall Tree Planting, November 7, 2026
◦
14 trees to be planted in 4 locations.
◦
Volunteers will meet at Pleasant Acres Park to plant 2 trees then move to nearby Pump
Station on Radio Lane to plant 6 trees.
◦
There will either be a 2nd group of volunteers to plant 4 trees at East End Park and 2 at Eyler
Rd Park, or the town will plant them.
◦
The high school club reached out about events. Michele will send them the flier for the tree
planting when it is ready. The HS students have often participated in this event in the past.
◦
With so few trees to plant not many volunteers will be needed; likely few between Green
Team members and HS students.
Pumpkin Pick-up, November 28, 2026
◦
The flier draft is prepared and the final version will go in the November utility bill mailing.
▪
Current version of the flier includes reference to donuts and drinks being available at the
meeting location. Michele proposed taking it out, she doesn’t want to set expectations
for refreshments at volunteer events.
▪
All present supported removing the refreshments reference from the event flier (but
support the idea of having some refreshments for volunteers).
