He also presented at check from the Wingstop Restaurant Charity Grant for $3,867.00 to be used to resurface a bridge at Community Park. Mr. Hart explained that this was the first year the Foundation had overseen the Emmaus 4 Miler Race, which had 255 runners and raised $30,000.00. He stated that they are working to raise more money to do larger projects and currently have 2 they are considering. January 5, 2026 1 The Emmaus Borough Council met in Regular Session on January 5 , 202 6 , in Council Chambers and via Zoom. The Honorable Magisterial District Judge Daniel Trexler administered the Oath of Office to Mayor Lee Ann Gilbert , Borough Tax Collector Kathleen Mintzer, as well as Council Members Roy Anders, Chris DeFrain, Brent Labenberg, and Megan Brehm . CALL TO ORDER Mayor Lee Ann Gilbert called the Reorganization meeting to order at 6: 13PM . Roy Anders Present Chad Balliet Present Megan Brehm Present Nathan Brown Present Chris DeFrain Present Brent Labenberg Present Kate Watt Present Lee Ann Gilbert, Mayor Present Taylor Meyers, Solicitor Present Shane Pepe, Borough Manager Present Mayor Gilbert asked for nominations for President of Borough Council. Mr. Balliet nominated Mr. DeFrain for Council President. Motion by Mr. Brown , seconded by Mr. Labenberg to close the nominations for Council President. There were 7 ayes. Motion carried. Mr. DeFrai n received 7 votes for Council President. Mr. DeFrain was declared Council President. Mayor Gilbert asked for nominations for Vice President of Borough Council. Mr. Anders nominated Mr. Labenberg for Council Vice President. Motion by Mr. Balliet , seconded by Mr. Brown to close the nomination for Council Vice President. There were 7 ayes. Motion carried.
