In accordance with the provisions of section 19.84, Wisconsin Statutes, notice is hereby given that
members of the Chippewa County Board are invited to attend the Ribbon Cutting of the Lake Wissota
Reserve Boat Landing at 2:00 pm located at 16160 74th Ave, Chippewa Falls, WI 54729.
It is possible that members of the Chippewa County Board of Supervisors sufficient to constitute a
quorum or negative quorum may be present to observe the meeting and gather information about a
subject over which they have decision- making authority although no formal action will be taken at this
meeting.
No formal action by the County Board or any committee of the County Board will be taken at this time.

Clary gave an update on the current status of the Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRM) and Flood Insurance
Studay (FIS). Chippewa County hosted a local officials meeting and open house on July 15, 2026. The
preliminary updated maps for Chippewa County include approximately 85 miles of redelinated Zone AE
and approximately 217 miles of revised Zone A. The comment period will end on October 15, 2026. Once
the maps are finalized, FEMA will send a final letter of determination, which will start the 6-month

extension. He indicated that logging activity for these sales is restricted due to oak wilt restrictions and the market
prices for pulpwood is down compared to market prices when he contracted for the sales.

Prior to this report everyone present introduced themselves.
Phil Sarazen, Director of Maintenance at the Wisconsin Veteran's Home informed the committee that
the facility has 72 beds and over the weekend had 3 beds open up after the passing of 3 residents. All is
