Town Council agenda (July 30)

The commission also considered seven final plats and four site plans, including the Smyrna Senior Citizens Center on Banstead Drive and a site plan for Genesis at 1975 Almaville Road.

Coming up: Town Council (Aug. 11)

The Town Council will hold a public hearing and consider two rezonings: 2 acres at 10510 Old Nashville Highway from R-1 to C-2 (Woods Properties) and 0.28 acre at 519 Noel Lane from R-3 to P-O-2 (Arsany Ghobrial). Smyrna Town Council set to weigh 70-acre annexation; all recent meeting outcomes pending minutes

Smyrna's Town Council was scheduled to hold public hearings and vote on annexing approximately 70 acres along W. Jefferson Pike, the most significant land-use item in a busy two-week stretch of local meetings. All recent meetings listed below were agenda-only at the time of this report — minutes have not yet been published, so final outcomes are not yet confirmed.

Town Council

The July 14 agenda included a public hearing on annexing 70.08 acres at 4657 and 4665 W. Jefferson Pike for C-2 and I-1 zoning, requested by Hollingshead Land, LLC. The council was also set to consider rezoning 2 acres at 10510 Old Nashville Highway from R-1 to C-2, owned by Woods Properties, and rezoning approximately 3.99 acres on Old Nashville Highway near Enon Springs Road West from C-4 and R-2 to C-2 across seven parcels.

Additional public hearings were scheduled on ordinance amendments regarding firearms in town parks, detached accessory structures, and mobile food vendors.
