F-M school board agenda includes $81.2M tax levy, safety plan

The board's Aug. 10 agenda included a public hearing and approval of the 2026-27 District Safety Plan, confirmation of tax rolls for Manlius, Pompey, Cazenovia, Sullivan, and Dewitt totaling $4.45 billion in full value, and approval of a $77,470,198 school tax levy plus a $3,720,431 library tax levy, for a combined $81,190,629. The board also considered a mental health services agreement with Contact Community Services for up to $145,372, a beverage bid (FMB26-10A), and UPK contracts with Hal Welsh East Area Family YMCA, Shining Stars Daycare, and Manlius YMCA.
Community Relations Committee (Aug. 13)
The Community Relations Committee met to select a chairperson, discuss a Communication Services Request for Proposals (RFP), and address a Capital Project Referendum. The agenda was brief and contained no additional details.
Personnel and BOCES agreement (Aug. 19)
The board's Aug. 19 agenda included approval of personnel recommendations as recommended by the Superintendent and an agreement with OCM BOCES for summer school facility use, with Fayetteville-Manlius compensated $15,200.
Upcoming meeting (Aug. 24)
The board is scheduled to meet today, Aug. 24, to consider a consent agenda that includes awarding a communication services contract to ESB Media at $5,500 per month from Sept. 1, 2026 to June 30, 2026, approval of personnel recommendations, and a consulting agreement with John Durkee for a confidential personnel matter, capped at $10,000.
