Senior living complex approved; Park Board advances repairs
The Plan Commission on Aug. 10 unanimously approved a planned development permit for a 186-unit senior living complex on 13.32 acres south of Chippewa Crossing. The commission also approved an amendment to the Willow Creek development and recommended a survey map for council approval. The Park Board on Aug. 11 recommended accepting one of the top five bids for Allen Park improvements and advanced several repair projects.
Senior living complex approved
The Plan Commission approved Resolution No. 2026-05, a planned development conditional use permit for the senior living complex. Conditions include no on-street parking, a fire hydrant within 100 feet of the connection, hydrants every 300 feet, and a garden instead of a pickleball court. The commission also unanimously approved Resolution No. 2026-06, amending the Willow Creek PDCUP to alter lot lines, setbacks, and easements of two lots. It recommended the Common Council approve the Summit Ridge Phase I Certified Survey Map. All votes were unanimous.
Park Board recommends bids, approves repairs
The Park Board recommended accepting one of the top five bids for the Allen Park request for proposals, with preference toward a local connection. The board reviewed seven bids ranging from $81,549 to $640,510. It approved moving forward with Fisher Bros. for bandshell repairs using Thorpe funds, approved Christmas Village repairs by Roshell for $7,500, and approved claims totaling $514,848.27. Chippewa Falls council takes up rezoning, alley paving; committees review repairs
The Chippewa Falls Common Council on Aug. 4 held first readings of two ordinances, including a rezoning of 13.32 acres south of Chippewa Crossing that could accommodate a proposed 186-unit senior living complex. No final decisions were made at the meeting, which was one of three city meetings that week that were agenda-only, with minutes not yet published.
City Council
The council considered Ordinance #2026-11, which would rezone a 13.32-acre parcel (Parcel #22908-0932-75713002) from C-2 General Commercial to R-3A Multiple-Family Residence District. The parcel is south of Chippewa Crossing. The council also held a first reading of Ordinance #2026-12, which would amend Chapter 5 (Fire and Emergency Services) of the municipal code.

Chippewa Falls Council declines City Administrator candidates; committee advances sex offender code revisions
