Calexico meetings yield no decisions; police advisory panel to fill seat Aug. 26
Over the past two weeks, Calexico's public meetings produced no votes or decisions. Two meetings were cancelled, and the remaining three were procedural or discussion-only. The next scheduled action is the Police Advisory Traffic Code Enforcement Commission, which will meet Aug. 26 to fill a vacant seat and select a vice-chair.
Recent meetings
Economic Development Financial Advisory Commission (Aug. 11) – Cancelled. The agenda contained only a cancellation notice, with no items for discussion or decision.
Community Services Commission (Aug. 12) – Agenda-only; no minutes published. The commission discussed several items but took no action. Topics included: a proposal to cancel the Sept. 9 regular meeting and reschedule to Sept. 14 due to the Admission Day holiday; ARPA funding for the Community Center, Senior Hall, and Cultural Arts Center; security camera installation maps and costs at parks and retention basins; a status report on the Heber Park expansion and RFQ process; and a discussion of Rodriguez Park ARPA fund balance and improvements including bathrooms, a concession stand, and flooring.
Personnel Commission (Aug. 13 and Aug. 20) – Two special meetings, both agenda-only. Each agenda included appointment of a Chairperson, Vice-Chairman, and Secretary; discussion and possible action on meeting times; and a training session. No decisions were recorded.
Measure H Oversight Committee (Aug. 18) – Cancelled. The 2010 General Tax Citizen Oversight Advisory Committee held no business.

Police Advisory Traffic Code Enforcement Commission – Aug. 26 – The commission will consider filling a vacant City Manager appointee position, select a vice-chair, and review municipal code provisions on attendance. It will also discuss code enforcement and vacant commercial buildings, and approve prior meeting minutes. Public comments are limited to three minutes for items not on the agenda.
