Breckenridge Open Space Commission names trail, retains McCain Drive

Coming up

Breckenridge Open Space Panel Backs $2.5M Trailhead Grant, Names Little Daisy Preserve

The Breckenridge Open Space Advisory Commission voted this month to recommend Town Council support a $2.5 million Regional Partnership Initiative grant for Quandary Trailhead improvements, with the town committing up to $400,000 in matching funds.

The July 20 vote was 6–0, with Commissioner Rossi abstaining. The recommendation now goes to Town Council for final action.

Little Daisy Preserve

In a separate 5–1–1 vote, the commission recommended naming the McCain parcel "Little Daisy Preserve" and forwarding that recommendation to Town Council. The parcel name, if approved by Council, would apply to the open space property.
