✓ Decided: BOSAC approves Bald Barber trail name, keeps McCain Drive
The Open Space Advisory Commission unanimously approved naming a new trail 'Bald Barber' and voted 6-0 to retain the name McCain Drive, declining a rename to 'Little Daisy Drive' due to road-naming rules. They also discussed the Trails Matrix Work Plan, agreeing it is a discussion tool, not a final decision-maker, and staff will adjust its wording. The meeting included public comments supporting new trails and a hub-and-spoke network at Little Mountain, plus an executive session on potential property acquisition.
- Approved the June 15, 2026 meeting minutes as presented.
- Unanimously approved the name 'Bald Barber' for the new trail (6-0).
- Voted 6-0 to retain the name McCain Drive, declining a rename to 'Little Daisy Drive'.
- Agreed the Trails Matrix Work Plan is a discussion tool, not a final decision-maker; staff will adjust wording and consider a secondary prioritization tool.
- Held an executive session to discuss negotiation strategies for a property the Town may be interested in acquiring for open space purposes.
