Benbrook boards to weigh rezoning, tax rate, and incentives

The property, owned by the Fort Worth Independent School District, would change from a 'D' Multiple-Family District to a 'CF' Community Facilities District to align with the city's Comprehensive Plan. The commission also considered approving minutes from its July 9 meeting.

City Council work session (Aug. 13)

The City Council held a work session to discuss the Fiscal Year 2026/2027 budget. The agenda listed only the budget discussion and adjournment, with no formal decisions.

Economic Development Corporation (Aug. 17)

The Benbrook Economic Development Corporation held a regular board meeting with a work session and open session. In executive session, the board discussed potential economic development incentives for MAD SR Benbrook RE, LLC and property at 8509 Benbrook Blvd., as well as property in the Wilburn, William W Survey Abstract 1639. The board also approved minutes from its July 20 meeting and received the monthly financial report for the period ending July 31, 2026.
