Aberdeen City Council approves $250K museum expansion, data center timeline

The Aberdeen City Council on July 27 approved $250,000 for the Dacotah Prairie Museum expansion and a working timeline for a possible data center ordinance, both by unanimous votes. The council also advanced three rezoning requests and approved several contracts and pay requests.

Aberdeen City Council halts data center permits, approves millions in infrastructure payments

The Aberdeen City Council passed an emergency moratorium on data center permits through November 18, 2026, and approved more than $4 million in facility improvements at its July 20 meeting, the most consequential actions of the past two weeks.
