The Corte Madera Town Council will consider a 15-year solid waste franchise agreement with Mill Valley Refuse Service, effective January 1, 2027. Corte Madera committee to review 2024 greenhouse gas inventory showing 44% emissions drop since 2005
The Climate Action Committee will hear a presentation on the 2024 community greenhouse gas inventory, which shows emissions down 44% since 2005 and 34% below 1990 levels. Flood Control Board
Flood Control Board to discuss flood protection, grant for Marina Village berm
The Corte Madera Flood Control Board will discuss short-term and long-term flood protection efforts, including a report from the Flood Preparedness Fair planning subcommittee, the Regional Shoreline Adaptation Plan, and coordination with Marin County. Chair Burtis called the meeting to order at 4:30 p.m.
2. OPEN TIME FOR PUBLIC COMMENT REGARDING NON-AGENDA ITEMS
Roy Wolford provided comment suggesting that the Town investigate AI traffic signal
optimization as a way to reduce GHG emissions from vehicles idling at traffic lights. He
also provided an emailed comment on this topic that was forwarded to the Committee.
Jody Timms, chair of the Fairfax Climate Action Committee, commented that she is
listening in to the meeting along with a summer intern from 350 Marin.
3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF THE MAY 20, 2026, MEETING
Motioned by Vice Chair Lang, seconded by Committee Member Klipper Alana to approve
the minutes as written.

La Junta del Sanitary District No. 2 considerará autorizar un proyecto de rehabilitación de alcantarillado de $2.8 millones (Fase III) y aprobará varios artículos del calendario de consentimiento, incluyendo avisos de finalización para dos proyectos de alcantarillado y resoluciones sobre límites de apropiaciones y vacación de servidumbres. The board unanimously approved authorizing the District Manager to approve plans, advertise for bids, and award a construction contract for the Category 5 Sewer Rehabilitation Project Phase III, with a base bid amount not to exceed $2,800,000 plus a 15% contingency. The consent calendar, including notices of completion for two projects and resolutions on appropriations limit and easement delegation, was also approved 5-0. No public comments were received.
