Mayor Pro Tem Fruhwirth announced that the final draft of the Rodeo/Fairgrounds
Master Plan is ready for community review and available online. The 45-day public
comment period was opened on August 5th and will remain open through September
22nd. Council will conduct two public hearings, on August 25th and September 22nd
where citizens can provide comments as well. The presentation, and final draft of the
Master Plan are available at ww.prescott-az.gov/prescott-rodeo-grounds-master-plan/
She added that throughout the month of August, the city will be conducting routine
phosphorus-binding water quality treatments at Watson Lake as part of the City's
ongoing Healthy Lakes Program and to help improve water clarity and overall water
quality, reduce excess nutrients, and help control aquatic weeds and algae. Treatment
dates and times are weather dependent and will take place as conditions

Presentation & Discussion Regarding Possible Amendments to the City's Art
Donation Policy.
Mayor Rusing discussed that she feels the art donation policy needs to be
revised in order to provide clearer guidance for evaluating and accepting art
donations. She noted that the Civic Enhancement Committee and the library
have been involved in addressing these requests and invited the Library
Services Director to provide additional input.
Library Director Melissa Orr discussed the status of art in the library, which has
become difficult to manage and find the correct history. She would like to get the
current art situated before they can move forward and consider acceptance of
more art and make sure it is appropriate for the library and the city. Maintenance
can also be a large expense.
Mayor Rusing commented that most art shows use a juried selection process
and said the revised policy would incorporate a similar approach to help ensure
donated artwork meets quality standards while continuing …

Robert Wadsack and Kala Ade with GH2 Architects provided a presentation on
the Rodeo-Fairgrounds Master Plan update. They provided a preliminary
overview of the project work up to this point.
