PROCEEDINGS OF CITY COUNCIL (OFFICIAL) ELIZABETH, N.J. Tuesday Evening February 10, 2026 7:30 P.M. Aregular meeting of the City Council was held this evening in the City Council Chamber, City Hall, Council President Grova announced that this regular meeting is listed in the “annual notice” as defined by Chapter 321, P.P. 1975 and that copies of the “annual notices” have been mailed or delivered to the Star Ledger, Home News Tribune, and posted and filed in the City Clerk’s Office in compliance with the terms of the Open Public Meetings Law, Chap. 231, P.L. 1975 on December 23, 2025. PRESENT: Council Members at Large: Frank Cuesta, Patricia Perkins Auguste, Council Members: Nelson Gonzalez, 24 Ward; Kevin Kiniery, 3° Ward; Carlos Cedeno, 4th Ward: William Gallman 5 Ward; Frank Mazza, 6° Ward; And Council President Manny Grova, Jr. -8. ABSENT: Torres -1 ALSO PRESENT: Samantha Castrelos, Esq. Board to consider Butler Street warehouse and distribution facility plan

The Elizabeth Planning Board will vote on several development resolutions, including a new warehouse and distribution facility on Butler Street in Ward 1. Other items include a minor subdivision on Magnolia Avenue, a denied conversion of a Chilton Street house to three families, and a denied proposal for a used‑car dealership on Rahway Avenue. The board will also hold development review hearings for minor subdivisions on Rahway Avenue and Magie Avenue, and address an adjournment item for a Midtown parcel.
