The Brooklyn Heights Village Council will consider several emergency ordinances at its regular meeting on March 3, 2026. Special Meeting of Council

The Council will consider an emergency resolution to create a full‑time Fiscal Associate position for the Village of Brooklyn Heights. The role would report to the Clerk‑Treasurer, assist with fiscal transactions, and be compensated at $25.00 to $29.00 per hour, with the rate adjustable by Council if needed.

Village Council

At its regular meeting on February 17, 2026, the Brooklyn Heights Village Council will consider several emergency ordinances. These include amending competitive bidding rules, authorizing agreements to use stormwater funds to buy a backhoe, contracting design services for a municipal center restroom project, appropriating the FY 2026 budget, maintaining Southwest Council of Governments membership for police and fire, and purchasing a utility backhoe. The council will also adopt a resolution to hire Chagrin Valley Engineering, Ltd. for public bidding and contract administration of the restroom improvements.

The council approved the January 2025 regular and special meeting minutes. It authorized payments of $1,800 to Slico Fire & Security and $1,050.37 and $2,500 to Bedford Heights Jail, each vote 5-0. The council extended health and dental benefits for Clerk/Treasurer Valerie Snyder through May 31, 2026 and designated the Clerk/Treasurer as the Sunshine Law public‑records designee, both votes 5-0.

The Wage & Salary Committee met on February 3, 2026 with Mayor Michael Procuk presiding. The committee entered executive session to discuss wage and salary matters. The meeting was adjourned without any decisions being made.
