PRESENT: Mayor Todd Hammel, Council members Bob Prigge, Kevin Amundson, and Joan Bucher. Absent: Fred Raasch. PUBLIC HEARING – SWIMMING POOL TAX ABATEMENT Grudem gave a presentation on the timeline of planning and decision making on the new pool. The current bid on the table leaves a $1,300,000 gap between the referended bonding amount and the funds needed to bill the pool. Multiple scenarios have been examined and narrowed down to the Council approving a tax abatement bonding scenario. Keith Dahl, from Ehlers, explained the process of abatement. In abatement property taxes from selected parcels would be dedicated to the debt service of the abatement. But the result is an increase in the levy.
