Ogden imposes Orange Fire Restrictions due to critical fire danger
The City Recorder is publishing a notice of Orange Fire Restrictions (Critical Conditions) issued by the Fire Marshal on June 22, 2026, effective immediately. The restrictions prohibit open flames, fireworks, and other ignition sources in designated areas east of Harrison Boulevard and other dry, grassy, or wooded zones across the city. Certain gas and charcoal grills are still allowed if used with care in landscaped, attended areas with extinguishment equipment.
- Restricted area: all areas east of Harrison Blvd from south city boundary north to 2nd St, then west on 2nd St to Monroe and north to city boundary
- Restricted areas include the Ogden and Weber River Parkway, parks near rivers, Fort Buenaventura, and the old landfill at 2550 A Avenue
- Prohibited: open flames, all fireworks, and any ignition source in non-landscaped or unattended areas
