Councilman Ferrara: I attended the Fire Services meeting on June 25. They shared how pleased
they were with the grand opening and expressed their appreciation for the support they received from
WMHT and the Schenectady Gazette.
I'd also like to borrow a page from Bud Watson's playbook and share a bit of historical perspective.
One of the feel-good stories of the 2026 FIFA World Cup was the friendship that developed between
Scottish supporters, known as the Tartan Army, and American fans in Boston, Miami, and
communities across the country.
It seemed like a fitting opportunity to remember our own community's Scottish roots. Glenville is
named for Alexander Lindsay Glen, who settled in the area in the 1650s and named his estate
"Scotia" after his native Scotland.

Councilman Ferrara: “First, I participated in the Fire Services meeting on May 28th. They announced
plans for the grand opening of the new Glenville Fire Training Center, which will take place on
Saturday, June 20th. The event will begin at 8:00 a.m. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will commence at
10:00 a.m., and the event should wrap up around 12:00 p.m. We will have over 50 participants from
our town’s fire districts, and the program will feature demonstrations of their new propane fire props
and other training apparatus.
The Alplaus Fire Department will also be hosting a firefighter competition or block party on July 3rd.
Their annual Fourth of July parade will follow on Saturday, July 4th. We encourage everyone to
participate in these events.

Chair Hennel stated the meeting minutes from the previous November 24, 2025 meeting had been

This application is for the construction of a new 2,886 sq. ft. personal service use building on a vacant
parcel approximately 0.50-acres. The building will house an 860 sq. ft. real estate office space and 2,026 sq. ft.
of furniture storage strictly used for the purposes of the business functions and consulting (property staging) and
is non-public. Storage will not function as a principal self-storage or warehouse facility. Included in this project
is parking, landscaping, and stormwater management. Utilities include public water and private on-site sewage
disposal system. The property is zoned Community Business.
3. Constantine Construction & Farm, Inc. Concept Review

This concept is for the construction of a construction and demolition debris recycling and transfer station on an
approximate 2.75-acre portion of leased property between the existing pallet storage yard and rail lines on
parcel 29.-3-25.11. Proposed facility would consist of an approximate 86'x60' slab-on-grade structure with a
fabric roof, a scale, scale house, asphalt paving, and railway maintenance. All materials are to be stored inside

Meeting called to order at 7:04 PM
Chairman Carr asked for a motion to move Item #3 to Item #4 and Item #4 to Item #3 as he has a
conflict. His employer is representing Constantine Construction.
K. Semon asked for a discussion. It is a concept review.
M. Carr said he checked with counsel and it is better for him to recuse himself.
K. Semon pointed out there will not be a quorum. He asked if you need a quorum to be on the
agenda.
A. Brick replied should Mike leave they will lose their quorum and the meeting is now over. Any
presentation will be outside of the public meeting. In light of that fact, he thinks it is acceptable
for Mike to stay for the purposes of quorum and announce that his is recused from the
application but he is not leaving the room and going home because he is staying for purposes of
quorum.
K. Semon said he can listen, but not discuss.
A. Brick said not even to listen. He is staying just to keep the quorum in place.
