Board of County Commissioners

The Board of County Commissioners held the first of two required public hearings for the FY 2024-25 budget. They unanimously adopted the tentative millage rates (countywide 4.8751 mills, Fire MSTU 2.7649 mills, Roads MSTU 0.1107 mills) and the tentative all-funds budget of $1,095,097,799. The budget is balanced with no increase to any property tax millage rates, and includes funding for 10.5 new full-time positions and deferred maintenance. The second and final public hearing is scheduled for September 24, 2024.

Development Review Committee

The Development Review Committee is meeting to discuss two project applications. The items include a residential subdivision proposal and a commercial site grading plan.

The Board also approved consent agenda items, including a $2.16M contract for a citizens drop-off construction at Osceola Landfill, and two special event permits for Greek Fest and Serb Fest.

Planning and Zoning Commission
