community general hospital within five (5) years. Glaser advised that the Scotts Hill Medical
Center would open June 16, 2026.

Chairman Burton called the meeting to order at 4:04pm.

Colby Sawyer, County Manager, started by stating the staff had done a good job with the
instructions they were given, and the budget sessions were to look at expenditures. The County
was still working on revenue neutral and property tax collection was ahead compared to this
time last year.
5. 4:20PM SUMMARY OF ENHANCEMENTS: MEG BLUE
Meg Blue, Assistant County Manager/Finance Director, noted that final cuts had not been done.
There were very few requests for vehicles. The plan was to have the budget at the first meeting
in June.

Pam Brame, Human Resources Director, explained that the county had done a salary study on
every position in the county that included 26 surrounding c …

Chairman Burton called the meeting to order at 6:01pm.

Commissioner Groves led the Invocaton.

Commissioner Springer led the Pledge of Allegiance.

Vice Chairman George made a motion to adopt the agenda.
Commissioner Springer seconded the motion.
The motion passed unanimously.
5. CIP/PROACTIVE MAINTENANCE UPDATE
The Board of Education stated they had a super productive year in regard to maintenance. They
cleaned out warehouses and listed surplus items on GovDeals, completed 4814 work orders,
purchased 2 new trucks, a 40' cat walk to clean buses, several HVAC systems and painted
some schools. During the summer, they plan to work on some of the roofs and windows.
6. TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENTS
The Board of Education stated that the $400,000 received from the county for radios had made
them very effective and efficient. The radios actually paid for themselves the first day when
there was an accident on Hwy 53. The buses are drive …
