Oconomowoc public meetings in 2024

Common Council

The Common Council is considering nine resolutions to accept petitions for direct annexation of parcels from the Town of Oconomowoc into the city. Each resolution, if approved, will notify the town clerk and refer the annexation to the Plan Commission. The properties are located on CTH K, Brown Street, Lisbon Road, and N Lake Rd.

Protection and Welfare Committee

The Protection & Welfare Committee will consider recommending approval of Resolution 24-R3243, granting a new Reserve "Class B" intoxicating liquor/fermented malt beverage license to Kindled Haven Hospitality Inc., doing business as 72 Waverly, for the property at 151 St. Paul Street (formerly CoCo's). The applicant intends to open on January 8, 2025. The license would expire on June 30, 2025, and carry an initial fee of $10,000 plus a prorated fee of $400.

Utility Committee

The Utility Committee will consider approving a $24,500 consultant contract with Ruekert Mielke to prepare a 2025 water rate case for adjusting rates related to new Well #8. They will also decide on awarding a construction contract for the Cottonwood Creek Watershed Protection Program and recommend 2024 utility customer write-offs. Monthly reports on billing, electric, water, and wastewater operations will be reviewed.

Community Development Authority

Parks & Recreation Board

The Oconomowoc Parks & Recreation Board will vote on a recommended 3% increase to park rental fees for 2025. They will also discuss relocating the Chamber Beer Gardens from Village Green to Fowler Park while that park undergoes renovation. The board will approve previous meeting minutes and November 2024 vouchers.

Plan Commission

Common Council

Plan Commission

Western Lakes Fire District’s Fire Board or Commission

Joint Review Board

The Joint Review Board will hold an annual update meeting to review the financial reports (PE-300) and status of five active Tax Incremental Financing (TIF) districts: Downtown Redevelopment (No. 4), W. WI Avenue (No. 5), St Paul/E. WI Ave (No. 6), Olympia Fields (No. 7), and N. Main St (No. 8). Finance Committee

The Finance Committee will consider recommending budget amendments for the third quarter, including accepting $289,466.88 in grants and donations and transferring $1,446,437 in fire referendum reserves from the General Fund to the Fire/Ambulance Reserve Fund. Library Board
