AD HOC COMMITTEE
Oak Bluffs Town Hall - 56 School Street

Minutes: Monday, August 17, 2026, at 4:30 pm - hybrid.
Committee Member Attendees: Leah Brown, Bill Cleary, Chris Chambers (absent), Tom
Zinno (absent), Leslie Fitzsimmons, Mark Leonard, Brian Packish, Keija Minor, Donny
Brice, Bill Brough, Adam Petkus (absent).
Attendees: Adam Turner
Zoom Attendees: Toyna Primus, Eunki Seowoo, Evonne Taylor, Susan Leigh, Judith

The meeting was called to order by Bill Cleary at 4:31.
Approval of Minutes: Leslie Fitzsimmons moved to approve the minutes from August 3.
The motion was seconded by Keija Minor. The minutes were approved as written.
Donny Brice and Brian Packish abstained.
Discussion:
Brian raised concerns about the registration form, specifically questioning the need to
cite specific laws rather than referencing state and local laws generally, as this could be
confusing for applicants and potentially miss requirements.
Bill explained that the short-term rental bylaw document combines work from multiple
sources, including the select board chair, committee members, and planning board, and
clarified that it will be titled as a "general bylaw" rather than a "zoning bylaw," as
confirmed by the town attorney. Bill proposed reviewing the document paragraph by
paragraph, starting with the definition of short-term rentals which includes owner-
