Jeff Grob, Chairman of the Historic Preservation Commission, previewed his
presentation on historic preservation with photographs of the flowering redbud trees in
Veterans Park. The County gave these trees to the Borough four years ago. At the time,
Mr. Grob went to the park with the Department of Public Works and staked the planting
locations along both sides of the Salt Brook. The trees are now established and
flowering.
Mr. Grob proceeded to his presentation on historic presentation and reinstatement of the

The regular meeting of the Borough Council of the Borough of New Providence, County
of Union and State of New Jersey was held on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at 7:15pm at
the Municipal Center. Mayor Morgan called the meeting to order.
