NEWINGTON RECREATION COMMITTEE MEETING There was a meeting of the Newington Recreation Committee on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at the Newington Library. PRESENT: Bill Wright, Insook Vallario, Esmeralda Medeiros. Meeting called to order at 4:00 pm. Motion to approve previous meeting minutes by Bill; Insook seconds. All approved. AGENDA Budget: - Bill provides status of budget including revenues. No issues. - Anapplication for charitable funds from Sprague Energy was submitted by Bill. Activities: - Allclasses can continue as scheduled within the Activities budget limit. - Septemberfest planning is on track. Discussion on a few ideas to change the traditional food menu. - Tennis clinic is well attended. Maintenance: - Bill fired Seacoast Turfcare. They were not fulfilling contract expectations to treat weeds. Bill will volunteer to perform this work the remainder of the summer. - Bill informed New England Sealcoating about some cracks/dead spots that should be covered under the warranty. - Bill expressed concerns about ice rink maintenance this winter without Pete Latchaw. Pete volunteered a lot of time to setup and maintain the rink. Bill is exploring the option to purchase a used snow blower and hire a contractor to keep the ice cleared. Next Meeting: 4 Aug, 4:00 pm Town Library No further discussion. Meeting adjourned at 4:35 pm.

BOS Minutes 7-1-2026 1 Town of Newington, NH Board of Selectmen Meeting Minutes Wednesday July 1st, 2026 Present: Chair Bob Blonigen, Selectman Brandon Arsenault, Selectman Chris Wayss, Community Power Committee Member Don Bly and Assistant Town Administrator Jeremy Boston. B. Blonigen called the meeting to order at 6:39pm. C. Wayss moved to seal the nonpublic minutes from the nonpublic meeting that took place before this meeting. B. Arsenault seconded the motion. All were in favor. Community Power: B. Blonigen said that at the last Selectmen’s meeting the Board had discussed an article that said that the NH Public Utilities Commission had allowed the big utilities companies to not give rate payers a true bill and defer the costs for later but didn’t allow Community Power to do the same thing. D. Bly said that he researched this issue to find out how much Eversource’s rates were influenced by the creation of Community Power. D. Bly found out that it was “little to none”. D. Bly said that the utilities can’t control what they charge for the product; they only control what they charge for the delivery of the product. D. Bly said that that the PUC changed how the utilities can buy the product. It used to be that they would negotiate a contract for six months at a time, but recently they changed it so they had to buy on the “daily spot market”. Conservation Commission to discuss Great Bay program, Knights Hill project

Town of Newington, New Hampshire CONSERVATION COMMISSION Meeting Minutes, Thursday, June 11, 2026 - 1 - Call to Order: Chair Laura Rogers called the June 11, 2026, meeting at 6:00 PM. Present: Vice-Chair Jane Hislop; Commissioners Sheryl Bagley; Luanne O’Reilly; Heidi Stortz; Planner, John Krebs; and Recording Secretary Jane Kendall (via LiveStream) Absent: Mikaela Klanchesser Public Guests: Katrie Hillman, Great Bay Changemaker Program Manager; Lynn Vaccaro, Training and Engagement Coordinator for Great Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve; Rick Stern I) Welcome New Members Chair Rogers welcomed newly appointed Heidi Stortz. Commissioner Stortz said she had an environmental background, and also had permitting experience. Newly appointed Mikaela Klanchesser was not able to attend this meeting, and Chair Rogers said she hoped she would be able to attend the meetings that were usually scheduled for the second Thursday of each month. II) Discussion regarding Great Bay Changemaker Program with New Hampshire Fish and Game Katrie Hillman, Great Bay Changemaker Program Manager, and Lynn Vaccaro, Training and Engagement Coordinator for Great Bay National Estuarine Research appeared before the Commission at the request of Town Planner, John Krebs to explain the program.
