The New Castle Town Council will review a final PUD development plan and subdivision plat for Castle Valley Ranch Planning Area 12, Filing 14. The body will also consider a policy regarding commission vacancies and receive an update on the Riverside Middle School Playground Project.

The Town Council unanimously approved the first reading of Ordinance TC2026-07, approving the final PUD development plan, final subdivision plat, and vested rights for the 66-unit Archwood Townhomes project at Castle Valley Ranch Planning Area 12, Filing 14. The motion included amendments extending the vested rights period from 5 to 7 years and adding a condition requiring the applicant to build the playground and bike path as approved by Public Works. The ordinance will return for a second reading and public hearing at the first September meeting.
