And that's why we're all a little tired or too. I hear ya, but thanks for putting that on the record item. Number one …

This is the October 15th, 2026 regular meeting of the Fire and Police Commission. Present are Commissioners Burgos, Evans, Spence, Roe Patter son, and myself, Commissioner Foam. Commissioners Horwitz, Ramey, and Snyder are excused. In the absence of Commissioner Horwitz, I will be chairing today's meeting. Also present is FPC Executive Director Leon Todd. Since it is my first time chairing, I just wanted to say something briefly. I appreciate your grace with me this evening as I was not expecting to chair yet. I want to thank you all for waiting. I know that it can be frustrating to have to wait out in the hallway because, as many of you know, before I was on the FPC, I used to come and protest at the FPC. Since I know that there are a number of new folks here this evening, I just want to briefly share as some context. So we are not the common council. The board is comprised of part-time commissioners appointed by the mayor and confirmed by the common council. I also understand that there are multiple things circulating that have deeply upset the public, public. A …
