Lower Paxton Township SHADE TREE COMMISSION Meeting Minutes July 28, 2026 Members in Attendance Members Absent Also in Attendance Tim Murphy John Sallade Nick Gehret, Staff Liaison Rick Wain Robin Lindsey, Supervisor John Whaley Link Martin CALL TO ORDER Mr. Murphy called the meeting on July 28, 2026 to order at 4:01 in the Conference Room of the Lower Paxton Township Municipal Center, 425 Prince St, Harrisburg. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Mr. Whaley made a motion to the approve the minutes for the June 26, 2026 meeting. Mr. Wain seconded the motion and the motion passed unanimously. OLD BUSINESS Update Fall 2026 Grant Cycle “Tree Pennsylvania” Kohl Park Mr. Gehret stated the grant has been approved for 20 trees to be planted at Kohl Park. There was a Kick Off meeting with Jessica Cavley to discuss the plan for storage, planting, and timeline on July 23 at 1:30, but Mr. Gehret was unable to connect to the Zoom meeting. Mr. Murphy stated the meeting was at 1:00 and he and Ms. Scott were on it. It was determined that the invitation had misspelled Mr. Gehret’s email address. Mr. Murphy stated Ms. Scott asked why they had the Township listed as a new participant instead of returning. They did fix that. Mr. Murphy stated they also discussed swapping out the River Brich with Service Berry trees. They were ok with that as Jessica pointed out that River Birch was not even on the list …

Lower Paxton Township SHADE TREE COMMISSION Meeting Minutes June 23, 2026 Members in Attendance Members Absent Also in Attendance Tim Murphy Link Martin Nick Gehret, Staff Liaison Rick Wain John Whaley John Sallade CALL TO ORDER Mr. Murphy called the meeting on June 23, 2026 to order at 4:05 in the Conference Room of the Lower Paxton Township Municipal Center, 425 Prince St, Harrisburg. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Mr. Sallade made a motion to the approve the minutes for the May 26, 2026 meeting. Mr. Whaley seconded the motion and the motion passed unanimously. OLD BUSINESS Fall 2026 Grant Cycle “Tree Pennsylvania” Kohl Park Mr. Gehret stated that the initial interest to do the bare root tree grant was at Centennial Acres. Commission members went to the site and identified areas along Colonial Road where there was frontage along Centennial Acres by the tennis courts and areas along Continental Dr for tree planting. They needed to find places to plant 20 trees in the park. Ms. Scott reached out to him stating that Kohl Park may be a more suitable park for fall plantings since the dog park is in the works. Mr. Gehret stated he and Mr. Murphy went to Kohl Park and walked down the trail to get an idea of the area where Ms. Scott is planning the dog park. 118 LOWER PAXTON TOWNSHIP BOARD OF SUPERVISORS Minutes of the meeting held on June 9, 2026 A workshop meeting of the Lower Paxton Township Board of Supervisors was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Vice Chairman Campbell on the above date at the Lower Paxton Township Municipal Center, 425 Prince Street, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Supervisors present in addition to Mr. Campbell were Pamela Thompson, Robin Lindsey, Catherine Scheib, and Dr. Charles Stuart (via teleconference.) Also in attendance were Michael H. Gossert, Township Manager, and Lee Stinnett, Jr, Solicitor. Pledge of Allegiance Mrs. Lindsey led the Pledge of Allegiance. Announcement Mr. Campbell announced the Supervisors met to discuss confidential employee relations matters. He stated that Dr. Stuart is joining the meeting by telephone. Public Comment Jay Purdy, 4731 Duke Street, commented on the proposed public comment policy. Allen McCormack, N. Lockwillow Ave. commented on the Township’s fireworks celebration for the nation’s 250th anniversary. He also commented on outstanding stormwater fees associated with property acquired by the Harrisburg Area Police Athletic League (HAPAL).
