Widowski will reach out to the schools to schedule AMC during the 2026-2027 school year.

Partner Updates
The Public Defenders office volunteered for Backpack's for Kid's.
The Department of Social Services is discussing doing more ART and AMC.
Trinity put together a bed build through the Sleep in Heavenly Peace organization. This nonprofit builds beds
around the country for children 3–17 years old who do not have one. It also comes with a set of pillows and
bedding.
North Central Health Care and TB Scott Library did not have any updates.

temporary revenue account. DePasse further explained that much of this revenue is then allocated to the
appropriate accounts at the end of the budget year.

Merrill Police Department
Chief Corey Bennett noted the year-to-date crash totals are slightly higher than in 2025, same with controlled
intersection accidents. Mentioned an e-scooter v. car accident which led to a brief discussion on e-bikes, e-
scooters and e-motos. Noted a complaint received regarding the hedges on Nicolet Bank's corner stating it is
potentially blocking vehicle visibility of pedestrians at the crosswalk.

Sheriff Ken Schneider reported a 5% decrease in crashes compared to the same period last year. There have
been zero fatalities, with a total of 62 crashes, of which 41 were car versus deer incidents, for this quarter.

emergency management budget. Occupational Safety training will soon have it's own division moving forward
to indicate revenue and expenditures. No other questions or concerns. Report placed on file.

8. Review and approval of the resolution supporting Public Property assuming responsibility of Hwy. building project
and the development of plans for replacement of Hwy. and Forestry facilities using the existing Merrill and
Tomahawk Hwy. department sites. M/S Bialecki/Zelinski – voice vote carried 4-1
9. Service Center project update report. Update report was given to committee members.
