Chair Pfeufer called the meeting to order.
Mr. Todd gave a brief description/background of where the county stands regarding when the
County Commissioners, as well as this Board, adopted the Short-Term Rental regulations back
in 2023. The process was lengthy, and a set of permit requirements/restrictions were adopted.
After adoption, there was a lawsuit filed, and the county was told not to enforce the regulations
as of January 1, 2024. Since then, nothing has happened. There were a handful of people that
applied in 2023 right after adoption of the regulations, in preparation for implementation in January
2024. He introduced Lisa Valdez, County Attorney, to present the current Text Amendments.
