Board Members Present: Kevin Hamlinn, Tristin Thomas, Bradley Karkanen, Margie
Johnson, Bill Boisvert (City Council Liaison), Patrick Bodily (Library Director).
Minutes from the June 22, 2026 Library Board meeting were read and approved. Motion by
Bradley Karkanen, second by Kevin Hamlin. Motion passed by all Board members present.
Board Business

Bradley volunteered to serve as the Chair of the Board for the upcoming year,
making the motion himself with a second by Margie. The motion passed by all
members present.

The board took the time for an Orientation to the library. Topics covered included he
Library’s Mission and Vision statements, Board Bylaws, board roster, and a brief
overview of the current fiscal year budget breakdown.

Patrick provided a breakdown of the library’s budget for the coming Fiscal Year.
•
The board then looked over various outside organizations that they could join as
members of the board.
Library Director Report:

Patrick provided an update on various repairs in the library.
•
He told the board about the library’s involvement with the University of Montana’s
CARE project, the Association for Rural and Small Libraries annual conference, and
a grant-funded symposium for galleries, libraries, archives, and museums at
Louisianna State University.
