I. Traffic Advisory Committee was asked to consider and approve that the alley adjacent to the Emmaus
House, 802 N 5th, be designated as a one-way only traffic from north to south. Request is intended to
improve traffic flow and reduce congestion of the freight truck and public pickups.
a. After consideration of both Emmaus House board Member Dawn Lunzman and the Traffic /Solid Waste
department concerning the relocation of dumpsters, Member Turley motion to leave as is and the
possibilities of educating Emmaus House staff or using temporary signage. Motion was seconded by
Member McGowan.
II. Traffic Advisory Committee was asked to consider and approve the installation of flashing cross walk sign
at Walker St & Taylor Ave near Buffalo Jones Elementary school. Request is intended to help pedestrians
such as students and parents needing to cross and not being able to due to distracted driver.
