EDC Commission for Youth and Families

Agricultural Commission

The commission will review applications for commercial cannabis cultivation permits and a request for agricultural setback relief for a residence. The agenda also includes the election of new leadership and a dedication to Chuck Bacchi.

Board of Supervisors

The Board of Supervisors will review several contract amendments and new construction agreements. They will also consider the continuation of a local health emergency related to the Caldor Fire and approve various commission appointments.

The Board of Supervisors granted an appeal to deny a Conditional Use Permit for an unpermitted accessory dwelling unit and five accessory structures. The Board also adopted resolutions for emergency road repairs and the retroactive closure of the Rubicon Trail. Additionally, the Board approved several contracts for environmental testing, building services, and public safety equipment.

Charter Review Committee

The El Dorado County Charter Review Committee meeting scheduled for January 9, 2023, was cancelled due to forecasted inclement weather. No committee business was conducted.

El Dorado Solid Waste Advisory Committee

The El Dorado Solid Waste Advisory Committee will meet to elect new leadership for 2023. The committee will also discuss adopting its annual goals, objectives, and a revised meeting calendar. Additionally, officials will provide an update on SB 1383 implementation status.

Pollock Pines Design Review Committee

The committee will review a proposal for a 20-foot extension to a cell tower on Pony Express Trail. Members will also discuss a pre-application for a mixed-use project involving approximately 25 new dwelling units. Additionally, the committee will elect officers for 2023 and vote to continue holding virtual or hybrid meetings.

Zoning Administrator

The Zoning Administrator will consider a request to add a microbrewery use to the existing Holly’s Hill Vineyards winery operation. The proposal allows for production starting at 15 barrels per year, up to a maximum of 15,000 barrels for on-site and off-site consumption.

Zoning Administrator Rob Peters approved a Conditional Use Permit to allow a microbrewery at Holly’s Hill Vineyards. The project allows for the brewing and sale of beer for on-site and off-site consumption, starting at 15 barrels per year up to a maximum of 15,000 barrels.

Board of Supervisors
