One or more members of the Eagle County School District Board of Education may gather on Friday, March 20, 2026, from approximately 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Battle Mountain High School for an informal conversation with incoming Superintendent Dr. KC Somers.
The purpose of this gathering is to provide an opportunity for Board members and Dr. Somers to engage in informal discussion as the district prepares for the upcoming leadership transition. Topics may include informal discussion about Board priorities, district opportunities and challenges, and expectations for the Board-Superintendent partnership as the leadership transition approaches.
No formal Board action will be taken.
Following the conversation, Board members may attend an informal dinner together at Zino Restaurant in Edwards.

The Board of Education conducted a national search process in partnership with McPherson & Jacobson, L.L.C. Public forums were held to gather community input, and finalist interviews were conducted in executive session pursuant to C.R.S. § 24-6-402(4)(e) for personnel matters.
Following completion of the interview and community engagement process, the Board will deliberate in open session and may take formal action to select a superintendent.
