Land Use Committee approves three CSMs and recommends WCA lobbying resolution
The Crawford County Land Use Committee approved three Certified Survey Maps (CSMs) for properties in the Towns of Clayton, Freeman, and Eastman, contingent upon agency approval. They also voted to recommend a resolution to the county board supporting Wisconsin Counties Association lobbying for more local control over wind and solar projects. The committee noted that public comment will no longer be included on the agenda.

The meeting was called to order by Committee Chairman Koch at 9:01 a.m.
Members present for roll call were Al Thompson, Mary Kuhn, and Russ Gillitzer. Kate Krachey was
excused. Members of the community were also present.
Motion by Kuhn, second by Gillitzer to approve June 9, 2026, minutes as mailed. Motion carried
unanimously.
Gigi Colllins, Property Lister report, updated the committee on June business.

Mr. Charlie Coleman, Chairman, called the meeting on
Tuesday May 26,2026 of the Crawford County Veterans Service
Commission to order at 10:20 a.m.
Mr. Coleman took roll call: Members present: Mr. Dean
LaPointe and Lewis Knutson.
Members absent: none
Also present: Cindy Jelinek, Acting executive secretary
Cindy verified the posting of the meeting notice as
requested in item No. 3 of the agenda.
Knutson made a motion to approve the agenda. LaPointe
seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously.
LaPointe made a motion to approve the minutes of May 26,
2026 meeting. Knutson seconded the motion. Motion carried
unanimously.
Laura gave the financial report:
Since the last meeting checks were written to Dean LaPointe
for per diem in the amount of $50.00. To Charlie Coleman
for per diem and mileage in the amount of $103.65. To Lewis
Knutson for per diem and mileage in the amount of $87.70.
This brings the balance as of today to $10,692.15.
Knutson made a motion to approve the financial report.
LaPointe seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously.
