Pursuant to the intent of a Data Center Moratorium adopted by the Bulloch County Board of
Commissioners February 17th, 2026 and extended by a majority vote on May 5th, 2026,
planning staff have developed a draft data center ordinance to properly regulate the placement
and design requirements of data centers in the unincorporated Bulloch County area. This
presentation will provide an overview of the draft ordinance. No immediate action by the
Board of Commissioners will be considered for this presentation; all zoning text amendments
to be considered by the Board of Commissioners must follow procedures outlined in
Appendix C, Section 410 of the Bulloch County Code of Ordinances.
