The Broward County Commission approved a series of budget resolutions reallocating $189,652,117 in federal Coronavirus Local Fiscal Recovery Funds to a single project for government services, and transferring $186,520,101 from the General Fund to support the Convention Center expansion, water and wastewater projects, affordable housing, and other initiatives. The Commission also approved $45.5 million in gap financing for nine affordable housing projects, authorized up to $500 million in Convention Center Hotel revenue bonds, and approved a consent agenda of 38 items, including board appointments and various contracts. Commissioner Tim Ryan was absent; all votes were 8-0.

County Commission

The Commission is reviewing several major funding requests and contracts. County Commission
