MA 4 Domestic Abuse

The Bayport Police Department is updating its domestic abuse policy, which guides officers on responding to domestic calls, conducting investigations, making arrests, and completing reports. The policy includes procedures for handling protective orders, assessing lethality risk, and addressing stalking and harassment. This is a policy revision, not a new ordinance or budget item.

Number 918 Cannabis Hemp Business Signage and Security

The Bayport City Council adopted Ordinance No. 918 to amend Appendix B of the zoning code. It prohibits cannabis and hemp businesses from erecting temporary signs and from displaying exterior signage that depicts cannabis or hemp imagery. The ordinance also bans security bars, gates, or grills on the exterior of such businesses. The changes take effect after passage and publication.
