The Alachua City Commission will hold second readings and public hearings on several ordinances, including a major land-use and zoning change for a ±182-acre property at 16650 NW US Highway 441, a smaller land-use change for a 1.48-acre parcel, and a zoning change for a 0.49-acre site. They will also consider extending the city limits to include a contiguous parcel, renewing the Clay Electric franchise agreement, and amending utility rates. Commission proposes 5.42% tax rate increase over rolled-back rate
The City Commission will hold first readings of several ordinances, including zoning changes on a 182-acre parcel on US 441, a 60-lot residential subdivision called Canopy Trace, a comprehensive plan amendment, and an annexation.
