A task force was established to assist Adams County in reducing and

five-year homeless housing plan. A task force will serve as an advisory
body to the Adams County Board of Commissioners.

Building and Planning
Director Lorenz reported on the following:
• Planning Commission Items – working with AHBL on periodic
comprehensive plan update. Was notified by commerce that
funding has been reduced.
• Building Permits – forty-nine (49) permits to date with a total of
$102,142.95 in fees collected, compared to 2025 with forty-seven
(47) permits, at this time, and $228,628.66 in fees collected. Not as
much commercial activity this year. New housing permits are down
across the state.
• Fire Marshal Item – the annual burn ban is in effect as of June 1st.
• Code Enforcement – No new cases. To date, there are eighteen
(18) open cases. There is a new hire for the code enforcement
position.
• Proposed Alternate Work Hours Policy Update – no action taken.

Director Igbinoba reported the following:

911 Dispatch Services

Sheriff’s Office Surplus Property
Sheriff Wagner reported his office has acquired and deployed upgraded
Taser 10 systems for field use. The Taser 10 systems have replaced
Taser 7 devices that are no longer supported by Axon Enterprise. As
such, the tasers are of no operational value to the sheriff’s office. Sheriff
Wagner would like to transfer possession of the Taser 7 devices to
Garfield County.
Prosecutor Flyckt requested additional time to review state statutes on the
surplus and transfer of possession of county property prior to advising the
Board on this matter. No action was taken.
