Wheeling boards to weigh $182K drain contract, land-use requests

These include a variation for U.S. Tsubaki Holdings, Inc. to reduce an accessory structure setback from 10 feet to 3 feet at 301 Marquardt Drive, and a variation for Sky Habour Group to reduce the required compensatory storage ratio from 1.5:1 to 1.1:1 at 1090 S. Milwaukee Avenue. The commission will also consider special uses for a tobacco retail establishment (Smoke It at 48 W. Dundee Road), a dance facility (JYZ at 1053 Lake Cook Road), and a special use and site plan approval for Ramar Land Corporation at 900 Chaddick Drive.

Liquor Control Commission (Aug. 17)

The Liquor Control Commission will consider a request from Wheeling Helping Hands for a Class I liquor license for an event on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026, at 375 West Dundee Road in the Wheeling Town Center. The rest of the agenda is procedural, including call to order, minutes approval, and citizen comments.

Wheeling Village Board weighs $413K fountain contract, annexations; no decisions yet published

Each meeting included appointment of public members, approval of prior minutes, and a status report on the respective TIF district. Marshall Kaplan was appointed as public member for four of the five boards. Annual reports for all five areas were approved, according to the agenda.
