The clerk reported deposits totaling $161,000.69, including building permit fees of $200, franchise fees (AT&T $328.86, Cable One $1,091.06), state funds for July 2026 of $141,220.16, video gaming tax of $11,046.51, and court fines and fees of $3,678.94.
Public hearing on shed variance
The board held a public hearing on a variance request for 208 Washington Avenue to allow an accessory structure (shed) that does not meet required setback requirements. Public comments were limited to 5 minutes per speaker.
Police activity
The police department reported 459 total calls, 20 arrests, 122 traffic stops, 72 new code enforcement cases, and 73 open code enforcement cases for June 11 to Aug. 9, 2026.
