North Salt Lake Council authorizes $15M in sales tax refunding bonds

The North Salt Lake City Council on Aug. 18 authorized the issuance of up to $15 million in sales tax revenue refunding bonds, the most consequential action taken in the past two weeks. The bonds will refund all or part of the city's outstanding Series 2022 sales tax revenue bonds and pay related issuance costs, with repayment secured by local sales and use tax revenues.

City Council actions

The council adopted Resolution 2026-35R, which authorizes the bonds. The bonds carry an interest rate not to exceed 5.50% per annum, mature within 21 years, and may be sold at a discount from par not to exceed 2.00%.
