Manila Town Council to weigh zoning change, mixed-use subdivision plan
The Manila Town Council will hold public hearings and a regular meeting on August 13, 2026, to consider a proposed zoning change and a developer agreement for a 12.54-acre mixed-use subdivision at 265 W Hwy 43. Minutes have not yet been published, so all items are proposals under consideration.
RMF Overlay Zone
The Planning and Zoning Board requests approval of an RMF Overlay Zone for the property, which is currently zoned Central Development District (CDD). The council will hold a public hearing at 6:00 PM at 145 E Hwy 43 to receive comments. Comments may be submitted in person or via email to jennifera@manilautah.com. The Planning and Zoning Board recommends approval.
Pinnacle at Flaming Gorge Developer Agreement
The council will consider a developer agreement for the Pinnacle at Flaming Gorge, a mixed-use subdivision with commercial and lodging uses on the same 12.54-acre parcel. A public hearing is scheduled for 6:05 PM. The Planning and Zoning Board recommends approval of the applicant's request.
Other Business
The council will also discuss a cooperative agreement with the Utah Division of Forestry, Fire and State Lands, and consider Resolution No. 26-08-13, which authorizes bank signers for the town's accounts. Candidate Annette McRae presented her candidacy, with priorities on water doctrine, rail safety, and a mental health initiative.
