Fairview meetings: solar hearing held, library board weighs bylaws change, council meeting cancelled
In the past two weeks, Fairview saw a public hearing on solar standards, a library board meeting on a proposed bylaws change, and a cancelled city council meeting. No final decisions have been published yet, as minutes are pending for all recent meetings.
Library Advisory Board (Aug. 11)
The Library Advisory Board met to consider a bylaws amendment that would restrict library use to business hours. The agenda also included discussion of hiring a substitute librarian or assistant, board term lengths and renewals, and an update from the Library Director on the Wales Library and librarian substitutes. An open discussion on library needs and concerns was scheduled. Minutes have not yet been published.
City Council public hearing (Aug. 18)
The Fairview City Council held a public hearing on solar standards and permitting. The agenda listed only that single item, with no other business. Minutes are not yet available.
Cancelled council meeting (Aug. 18)
A second council meeting scheduled for the same day, which had included a Truth in Taxation public hearing on its agenda, was cancelled. No meeting occurred as scheduled.
